re: read4me 1.90 Released
um, i did a cvs checkout like a week ago.. pffft. I'm having some trouble getting a response from the server. All i see is "Server Response: retrieving links from server..." in the client. And my apache logs don't show any erring..

diary of a first attempt
Maybe i should execute the client page from the web server, as opposed to file://. More to follow.

re: diary
If you're checking out from cvs, I branched those files to branch rel_2_0. I.e. if you want to check them out: cvs co -r rel_2_0 read4me. Also try a "tail -f read4me.log" in the server directory to find out if its reading any feeds. And, check the Javascript Console to see if there's any security errors with using the file:// instead of http://

Aso!
I guess my problems were two-fold, 1) I should reference the client web-page via the webserver (http://) not the filesystem (file://) B) You can't reference html pages from cgi-bin .. heh heh.. oops. 1.9, that must mean 2.0 is just around the corner.
